FAULCONER GALLERY DANCE PERFORMANCE: March 13, 2010

4 pm and 6 pm: Three in Two: Improvisation in Dance and Music

In two 40-minute improvisational sets, contemporary dancers Rebecca Bryant and Sandra Mathern-Smith will develop a performance in response to each other, to works in the Faulconer Gallery and to music played live by Don Nichols. The improvisations will uncover thematic ideas, create moment to moment interactions, and develop the work while it is happening.  Bryant and Mathern-Smith share skills in contact improvisation and ‘ensemble thinking’ work developed by Nina Martin, a veteran and leader in the field.

The Faulconer Gallery and other exhibition spaces on campus are free and open to the public. Hours may be reduced during College breaks, holidays, and when new exhibitions are being installed. Please call to confirm hours.
