WELLNESS LUNCH AND LEARN: March 2, 2010

Now is the perfect time to offset the business challenges of a hard winter and rough economy by making some progress in your thinking about worksite wellness. Join the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce and the Grinnell Wellness Collaborative in a 45-minute panel discussion of local wellness resources immediately available for access by you and your employees. If you think you're too small for a wellness program, think again. The dividends in areas of morale, productivity, and resiliency are well-known. Wellness programs are our best defense against controllable rising health care costs. The Community Coordinator of Wellmark will lead the second 45 minutes in a demonstration of its online wellness tools and Whole Health Dimensions approach. Lunch will be provided. Session begins at noon in the Caulkins Room of the Drake Community Library.

Lean and Green will be helping to facilitate this informative session for Chamber members.

Agenda

  1. State of the union regarding wellness programs, the Wellness Collaborative, and why this discussion is timely, given the current business climate. (5-7 minutes)
  2. Panel of wellness professionals, who will each give a brief message about their organizational wellness goals and/or the wellness resources that are available to Chamber members. (15-20 minutes)
  3. Q&A for panel. (15 minutes)
