Coordinates the laboratory team. Ensures accurate and timely clinical diagnostic information is provided to healthcare
professionals in order to ensure high quality patient care and customer service. Gathers data and information to assist with process
improvements. Manages inventory and supplies to meet needs of the department. Provides technical leadership by directing, auditing,
assessing, coordinating, and delegating technical work. Documents, maintains and reviews quality control, proficiency testing and quality
assurance. Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education must be obtained which is sufficient to allow certification under one of the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
OR Medical Technologist (MT)/ Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Certifying Agencies' examination routes. Must meet Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) requirements to perform highly complex testing. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT)/ Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
