Grinnell College is seeking an Associate Director of Dining Services.

The Associate Director has the opportunity to be a part of an award winning and cutting-edge team. Having the ability to make a difference in the foodservice operations of Grinnell College by providing input, guidance and oversight in the day-to-day operations of the foodservice establishments. This position provides leadership in a fast-paced environment in the delivery of high quality customer service, unit presentation and customer experiences. Provides input and oversees special events, staff development, operational standards, CBORD Food Service Suite (FSS) and other related CBORD software programs, dietary accommodations and nutritional needs of the department. Maintains and enhances interactions with Grinnell College students, staff and faculty, and other guests of the college to promote Grinnell Dining and resolve any challenges. Provides input during renovations and new building, and responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of facilities. Promotes sustainability efforts and assists in maintaining the highest level of safety and sanitation standards within our units. Assists the director and management team in development of long-range planning and the development and monitoring of the budget and departmental goals.

This position directly supervises the Marketplace Supervisors, FSS staff, Custodians, Cashiers and Student Leaders in the Marketplace.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five years of progressive management experience
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Ability to make decisions and take action
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships
• Ability to present ideas 
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
