We are looking for a professional cook to prepare food to the specifications and to set up stations for the daily menu. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition of goals.
Preparing food for service includes preparation of sauces, entrees and other commissary foods utilizing standardized recipes. Preparation of foods to support the cook-to-order venues in our marketplace-dining center.
Responsibilities include: setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies; prepare food for service in quality and quantities specified; cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff; clean up station and take care of leftover food; ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion; comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards; maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Work schedule is varied with day, evening and weekend work.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook; excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures; accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks; maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen; familiar with industry’s best practices.
