Description

Under the leadership and guidance of award winning Executive Chef Scott Turley our Pantry Cook will be responsible for the pre-preparation of fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses as needed for each dining venue and back-of-the-house cooks. The Pantry Cook will be afforded the opportunity to gain exposure to a multitude of food preparations and develop professionally, by attaining certifications through continued education and on the job training.

Duties will include:

  • Clean and maintain pantry space and other various stations
  • Chop, slice, dice, cut of any variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses.  
  • Maintain Federal, State, and College Safety and Sanitation Standards.
  • Practice good personal hygiene.
  • Communicate needs with production manager, each venue, cash operations, catering, and back-of-house cooks.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, etc.
  • Values diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months or more experience in commercial food services or an equivalent combination of education, training and expertise
  • Serve Safe Certificate
