The Prison Program Coordinator will lead key parts of the Liberal Arts in Prison Program (LAPP), which enrolls incarcerated students in a demanding college program that offers the opportunity to earn up to 60 Grinnell College credits. Duties include, but are not limited to: 1) Supervising and organizing all student employees (coordinators and course assistants) and volunteers; 2) Donor stewardship and fundraising for the LAPP in collaboration with Development and Alumni Relations; and 3) planning appox. two special events per year (for example, an award ceremony in prison and reunion event on campus); and 4) program logistics and management in collaboration with the Director of the Prison Program.
This position is a Part-time, 1 year term position.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience.
Requires interest in working with incarcerated people and experience and familiarity with college settings at the bachelors undergraduate level. Prefer experience in supervising students and/or volunteers and donor stewardship/fundraising.
