The Grinnell Civil Service Commission is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Applicants will be required to pass a physical agility test, written P.O.S.T. exam, psychological screening, pre-employment drug test, medical exam, polygraph, and background investigation. Physical agility scores from other agencies taken during 2020 will be accepted. Current I.L.E.A. certified officers may waive physical agility and P.O.S.T. exam. Iowa certified peace officers preferred but not required. Applications are available only through PoliceApp.com . A Police Officer for the City of Grinnell must reside no greater than fifteen (15) miles from the Public Safety Building within one year from the date of hire.
