MICA is hiring case managers in Marshalltown, Ames, Iowa Falls, Grinnell, and Tama to help families dealing with the recent storm damage. This is a casual position providing case management services to individuals affected by disaster programs across our 5 county service area (Marshall, Tama, Poweshiek, Hardin, and Story Counties). Will assess and identify client’s needs, aid them in relief and recovery efforts, and act as an advocate with various recovery agencies and organizations on their behalf. Case management will occur during normal business hours, after hours, or on weekends. Work can be done remotely from staff’s home within our service area, with travel to assigned work site required as determined by supervisor. Assigned worksite will be the nearest MICA Family Development Center or Central Office. Casual position, working hours as needed, as negotiated with supervisor. Overtime will be paid for any hours more than 40 in a work-week. $17.80 to 20.00 per hour commensurate with education.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in human services or closely related field (classified as a Case Manager 3)
• Associate’s degree with a minimum of one year of customer service experience (classified as a Case Manager 2)
• High School Diploma (GED or HiSED) with a minimum of two years of customer service experience (classified as a Case Manager 1)
Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
