The

Grinnell Area Arts Council seeks a ¾ time (hourly) Program & Education Coordinator. The Program & Education  Coordinator will administer and oversee the daily operations of the Stew Makerspace facility and coordinate the  educational programming of the Grinnell Area Arts Council, including the Arts Academy, Stew programming, and Studio  6 After-School Arts program. Stew Makerspace duties include collaboration with college student managers and other  program directors, equipment and safety oversight, budget management, and community outreach. Educational  program duties include development of an instructor roster and coordination of educational programming.  

The ideal candidate will be highly organized with excellent attention to detail, have strong communication skills, be  comfortable with technology and able to learn new skills quickly. They will be a team player, working closely with other  Arts Council staff to ensure the smooth operation of all programming. Some flexibility to work occasional evening and  weekend hours is needed. Background in fabrication or making is a plus, though it’s not a requirement.
