Description

The AV Event and Support Specialist is a member of a team of Audio Visual Specialists that provides reliable classroom technology solutions and technical support to faculty, staff, and students of Grinnell College. This position is responsible for supporting events on campus that require AV setup or monitoring and liasing with external AV event support vendor(s) and other College departments that sponsor and support events. The Specialist also maintains the pool of AV loaner equipment and the system used to manage it.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school plus one year of relevant technical experience; or three years of relevant technical experience. 
  • Planning and executing AV support for events.
  • Working with and integrating technologies most often used in events such as projectors, screens, microphones, mixers, etc. 
  • Familiarity with applications used for managing equipment. 
  • Values diversity, equity and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working in a higher education environment, especially liberal arts.

Selected applicant must successfully complete a background check prior to first day of employment.
