Description

As a member of the award-winning Grinnell Dining Hall team, the Administrative Assistant is vital to the success of our operation.  The person in this position will offer administrative support to the management team of Dining Services and promote the department through personal interactions as well as with upkeep of Dining Services SharePoint and Website locations.  Additionally, this position is responsible for identification card production for the campus, assist with proximity access, uploading of all meal plans at the beginning of each semester (administration of the Odyssey PCS system) or meal plan period and to assure the billing of meal plans is timely.    

 

Other Duties:

· Greet guests of Dining Services in a professional and kind manner

· Maintain staff rosters and annual Dining Services Calendars

· Answer phone calls 

· Perform administrative duties to support leadership within Dining Services

· Assure daily and weekly reports run properly

·  Maintain cameras, printers, and other equipment 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

·         High school diploma or Equivalent

·         Must possess strong written and oral communication skills

·         Great attention to detail

·         Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

·         Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

·         Demonstrated ability to excel in a professional or higher education environment

·         Strong organizational skills

·         The ability to effectively utilize multiple modes of communication

·         Interpersonal versatility skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

ServSafe Certification in food safety.
