As Senior Cloud Engineer, you will work with other Brownells Cloud Engineers and teams to design, implement, maintain, and support hybrid IT solutions in order to meet the growing business needs. You will design solutions-based requirements that support Brownells’ strategic objectives, and address/remediate issues as assigned. This position is an internal customer-facing role, and will operate in a hybrid capacity, with the ability to work remotely as well as onsite in Grinnell.

What You Will Do
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, support and maintain systems and services in a hybrid (on premise / public cloud) environment
- Execute on Systems Engineering projects as assigned from end-to-end (design, implementation, support)
- Administer Microsoft Identity and Access Management including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access
- Direct distribution and installation of software/hardware updates and upgrades
- Keep abreast of emerging technology and help determine how it could be leveraged at Brownells
- Evaluate current capabilities, prepare needs analysis, investigate options, obtain price quotes, make recommendations, purchase, install and maintain enterprise infrastructure
- Manage third-party partners when appropriate to implement overall strategy
- Responsible for backup, recovery, and security procedures according to industry best practices
- Perform technical leadership role in support of the infrastructure team members
- Respond to support requests and participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance windows
- Monitor infrastructure systems against published SLA
- Document, support, and carry out the hardware and operating system and software maintenance schedule
- Develop and maintain documentation for other team members to perform their roles
- Anticipate infrastructure needs for planning and budgeting via monitoring the organization's appropriate usage and the implementation of rotation planning
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- AA/AS degree in related field is preferred, however 2+ years of additional relevant experience may be substituted
- Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification preferred, but not required
- Experience in Azure PaaS solutions
- Experience working with source control preferred
- Experience with hypervisor software
- Experience with Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and other applicable data replication services
- PowerShell or other scripting experience required
- SQL experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Windows Server 2012-2022
- Strong understanding of hyperconverged infrastructure
- Management of Active Directory and IIS
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Intune
- Knowledge of network Switches, Firewalls, Routing, Security, LAN/WAN and VPN technologies
Physical Demands
