The Administrative Assistant III will be executive administrative support for the Vice President of Student Affairs, the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs/Dean of Students, and Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs/Dean of Inclusive Initiatives as well as other leaders within the division situationally. This individual coordinates division wide meetings and student success and support initiatives, manages the departmental website, is tech support for meetings, the ability to become proficient in SAL salesforce CRM, Maxient software, Drupal, DIALS, Colleague, Handshake, and GLADIS, maintains FERPA legal standards and confidential files, prepares routine and non-routine special reports including gathering and summarizing data, communications within and across divisions, resolves routine and complex issues presented by students and parents using diplomacy.

This individual will have strong written and verbal communication skills, follow-through, and good judgment in routing concerns to the appropriate people, drafting and editing correspondence and web content, managing calendars and meeting materials, staff search processes, coordinating travel, administratively supporting the budget planning process for the division, maintaining professionalism of the student affairs office suite, and participating in meetings with VPSA/AVPs/Dean as needed. They will collaborate with other college units as necessary. Must have cultural fluency to work inclusively with all students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, trustees, and guests. There may be potential for supervision of student workers as the division evaluates how work gets done in the coming year and with the student union.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Five years or more of work experience
  • Champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Strong interpersonal versatility skills
  • Variety of communication skills to execute a multitude of tasks
  • The ability to plan and organize events and daily activities with ease and precision
  • Being adaptable to the different situations that occur day to day
  • The ability to function well in a team and to lead when necessary

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s preferred
