We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will support all Brownells / 2nd Adventure Group businesses and departments. In this role, you will support a portfolio of businesses and will be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual finance submissions, as well as extensive modeling. You will develop new tracking and reporting templates and will prepare tools and processes for future planning and analysis. Strong partnership skills are critical for success in this role. The ideal Senior Financial Analyst is an experienced professional with a proven ability to work independently and make strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

What You Will Do

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive the annual operating plan, forecast, and conduct analyses (variance, simulations, etc.)
  • Partner with Controller to manage capital forecasts and cash flow projections
  • Prepare and present presentation decks for finance and business executives
  • Provide financial guidance and strategic decision support to the business team by developing a strong understanding of each new business being developed, collaborating with internal and external partners, and gaining agreement with key stakeholders
  • Help establish and enhance the long-term financial planning processes which may include capital planning related to new business operations, start-up and ongoing operational expenses, and support for revenue generating commercial activities
  • Construct complex financial models in support of initiatives and identify key business issues or opportunities for senior leader discussion and path forward
  • Effectively communicate planning, financial evaluation, and analysis with both internal and external clientele
  • Work comfortably and confidently to translate ambiguity into clear initiatives
  • Engage partners across the organization to find solutions
  • Own the business-case process assisting with WACC and NPV analyses


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, MIS, or related field required
  • MBA or master’s degree in finance or related field highly preferred
  • Ideally 5+ years of relevant professional experience, especially FP&A / consolidation experience


Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to drive results through a proactive approach to problem solving, strong detail orientation, and great partnership skills
  • Strong consultation, persuasion and influencing skills to support communication of new business needs
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability leveraging strong financial acumen to analyze and develop complex pro formas and other models
  • Ability to synthesize financial information into a concise story and communicate it effectively, leveraging strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer/systems skills; proven advanced Excel modeling and PowerPoint skills required


Physical Demands

Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
