Education Requirements and Experience:
The Public Service Director manages and leads the activities of a 17-member department including streets, parks, cemetery, recycling, and solid waste. This position is responsible for the department budget development and includes monitoring expenses. Requirements include progressively responsible supervisory experience and substantial work within or closely related to the disciplines listed above. Graduation from an accredited two- or four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering, business management or related field is a plus. Candidates must have excellent customer service and communications skills, an impeccable safety record and strong adherence to all safety procedures, excellent and demonstrated fiscal management skills, and a proven history of employee management. Salary and Benefits:
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within three months of hire. The successful candidate must pass a physical examination and drug screen.
