Who's Ready for LIVE Music?
After a year where live music wasn't much of an option for many events, businesses or venues, it's exciting to see that live music is starting to resurface at venues across the state. In fact, the Grinnell Area Arts Council will be hosting Music in the Park TONIGHT in Central Park beginning at 7PM, and featuring the Grinnell Community Band. Music in the Park will be hosted every Thursday from now until July 29 - you can find all the details, including artists and times, on our community calendar. If outdoor isn't your style, be sure to check out the Brooklyn Opera House as they are hosting Iowa-favorites The Nadas a week from tomorrow (June 11), and up-and-coming country music artist Tyler Rich on June 25! Tickets for both these events can be purchased on their website: brooklynoperahouse.com.
We, too, are looking to add live music back to the Farmers Market in the coming weeks, and know many of our businesses and venues are starting to think about reintroducing live music in their own establishments and we could use your help. Do you know local artists who are interested in playing in the area? Send them our way or reply to this email and let us know who they are! We'll compile the information so we can help share with our businesses as they start to consider adding live music back into their lineup!
