Learn to sew a classic women’s or men’s shirt in our Intro to Sewing Shirts course.  This class is designed for intermediate sewers who want to build their skills and learn advanced shirt-making techniques. You’ll need a good understanding of basic garment construction and a familiarity with simple sewing techniques. You will be supplying your own pattern and materials for this class.

Choose from one of these patterns:

  • Archer Button-up Shirt from Grainline Studio
  • Cornell Shirt from Elbe Textiles
  • Fairfield Button-up Shirt from Thread Theory

You will also need to purchase your fabric and notions based on the requirements of the pattern you are using.  Choose light to medium weight woven fabrics which would include cotton shirting, lightweight denim, oxford cotton, flannel or medium weight linen.

Please contact Lee Smith if you have any questions or need additional information.
