Event Description:These classes aim to provide caregivers with the right tools to have conversations with loved ones, children, adults and community members to improve community wellness and physical, mental and emotional health. This class will take place the fourth Thursday each month from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. at Prairie Lakes Church (925 E. Street, Grinnell). Childcare and food/drink will be provided. Thank you to the east Casey’s in Grinnell for providing pizzas each month! Attendees can sign up on online or by calling (641) 236-2385 First class with Allison Ringgenberg, RN about the HPV vaccine. Each month, parents, grandparents, educators, daycare providers, babysitters, etc. are invited to learn about a community health topic and ask questions. Class topics will change each month. Some of the topics include: immunizations, tobacco/vaping, public safety, fire safety, CPR, screen time, nutrition, child development and mental health. The class date, topic and expert will be posted on our Facebook page, our classes and events webpage as well as communicated to this group each month. |
