Event Description:

Grinnell College Museum of Art and Drake Library are offering free hands-on art and literacy activities for children and families in area parks. Every session will offer drawing, 2 & 3-D collage projects, beading, truck glittering, bookmaking, type-a-thon, and reading activities. Supported by Grinnell Education Partnership & AmeriCorps. No registration is necessary. Lunch will be served by the Iowa Kitchen on Tuesdays. 40 meals served on a first-come-first-served basis. Supported by grants from the Greater Poweshiek County Community Foundation/Poweshiek County Alliance and Baker & Taylor Summer Reading Program.
