Event Description:

Grinnell College will be commemorating Constitution Day, 2023, with a “Celebration of Citizenship.” This reception event, which is open to the public, will recognize members of our Grinnell community who have become naturalized U.S. citizens, whether decades in the past or just recently. The event will start at 4:00 PM on Sunday, Sept. 17, at Grinnell House.

If know someone who is a naturalized citizen, please contact Grinnell College’s Rosenfield Program – Carol VerPloeg verploeg@grinnell.edu; or Barb Trish (trish@grinnell.edu; 641-269-3149). The program will, in turn, contact those individuals to see whether they are interested in participating. If you are a naturalized citizen and are willing to participate, please email the following information to Carol or Barb:

If possible, please attach one or two photos from the time you became a citizen. Submit to Carol VerPloeg [verploeg@grinnell.edu] by 9 AM on Friday, September 15.
