Location Description:Grinnell College Museum of Art Event Description:Students in Tamara Beauboeuf’s Gender, Women's, & Sexuality Studies class, "The Mermaid Imaginary: Race, Gender, and The Global Waters," explored diverse cultural and spiritual traditions of gender formations associated with living waters. Drawing on an interdisciplinary set of academic, literary, and artistic texts, students examined Grinnell College Museum of Art’s exhibition's "not one without water" and "William Villalongo: Myths and Migrations." Students will be available for conversations about selected works in the two exhibitions. A limited number of take-away sack lunches will be available. First come, first serve. |
