Did you know your breath supports your speaking voice AND your thinking and feeling self? Did you know that “virtually the entire body influences the sound of the voice?"

Learn traditional and creative vocal exercises that connect your voice, body, breath, feelings, and thoughts for greater expressivity. The exercises are individually adaptable, so each person chooses their own activity level. The classes offer activities and concepts for public presenters, performing artists, educators, business communicators, and anyone who wants to communicate with greater ease and confidence.

Lynn Watson is an Emeritus Professor of Theatre at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She has worked extensively as a voice, speech, and dialect specialist at leading regional theatres, including Arena Stage, Kennedy Center, Ford’s Theatre, A.C.T. San Francisco, and the Mark Taper Forum. Her writing and articles have appeared in both scholarly and popular publications, including the Journal of Voice and the Voice and Speech Review (VSR). She led a study on voice that received the award for “Outstanding Vocal Scholarship” from the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA). For STEM professionals, Lynn leads workshops on expressive, confident communication. She is a member of Actors’ Equity, SAG-AFTRA, VASTA (President 2014-16), and a Lead Trainer of Fitzmaurice Voicework.
