Visit iowahousinghelp.com to fill out an information form — this is the first step towards accessing rental and/or other assistance for persons experiencing or at risk of a housing crisis or houselessness in Iowa.

Event Description:

If you or someone you know is sleeping in a tent, vehicle, on the street, or is doubled up with another family, we encourage their attendance to this event, aimed at identifying as many people as possible who are in search of perment housing.

A point-in-time is a count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness. This count is mandated by HUD and is a key component of a community's efforts to address and prevent homelessness. The 2024 count indicated 771,480 people experiencing homelessness across the United States. 2,631 of these were Iowans 23 individuals out of every 10,000 are homeless in the United States. In Iowa, 8 individuals out of every 10,000 are homeless.
