Community Calendar

Hire a Veteran Day is a call to action for hiring companies and Veteran job applicants. IowaWORKS and Home Base Iowa are hosting this series of career fairs across the state to inspire employers to recruit and hire Veterans.  

 

There are six scheduled that day at different times in Des Moines, Davenport, Marshalltown, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and Sioux City. In our region, this event will take place at Iowa Valley Community College Business & Community Solutions, 3702 S. Center St. in Marshalltown.

 

The Marshalltown hiring event is taking place July 25 from 9:00-11:00 am. The first hour of the event will be specifically for Veterans and then it will be open to all job seekers. Representatives from nearly twenty employers will be participating with openings that include full-time, part-time, and seasonal career opportunities as well as resources for job seekers.

 

All job and career seekers are encouraged to attend.
