Grinnell College is excited to host Iowa’s Superfest Showcase for Fall 2025.

Superfest in the Midwest

Superfest, held annually in San Francisco, CA since 1970 is one of the longest running disability film festivals in the world. Each year Superfest has celebrated cutting-edge cinema that portrays disability through a diverse, complex, unabashed and engaging lens.

Grinnell College is bringing Superfest to rural Iowa to showcase the 2025 selected films. The Iowa Superfest Showcase is co-sponsored by the Grinnell College Disability Cultural Center, Disability Resources, the Film Studies Department, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Drake Community Library.
