Event Description:Grinnell College Museum of Art and Drake Library are offering free hands-on art and literacy activities for children and families in area parks. Every session will offer drawing, 2- and 3-D collage projects, beading, truck glittering, painting, bookmaking, type-a-thon, and reading activities. Additionally, a special project from the following: ceramics, printmaking, marbling, sewing, wood cutouts, tie-dye or another activity will be offered at each session. No registration is necessary. This program is supported by the Greater Poweshiek County Community Foundation/Poweshiek County Alliance, Lincoln Savings Bank, Grinnell Mutual, Iowa National Service Corps, Seed Coalition, and the Grinnell Education Partnership. In case of threatening weather, Storytime Art in the Park will be canceled. Cancelations will be announced on Grinnell College Museum of Art’s Facebook page prior to the start of the session.
