Fourth of July Parade

Enjoy an incredible Independence Day parade in Grinnell.

Line up for the parade will begin at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, July 4. The parade will begin at 5 pm with streets closing at 4:30 pm.
For line up, all entries should enter from High Street, where entries will then be staged and lined up facing west on Hamilton Avenue. The parade will then start north on Broad Street through downtown (Central Park); turn east on 4th Avenue to East Street, north on East Street to 10th Avenue (east of the College area), then east on 10th Avenue to Penrose Street (Ahrens Park), turning south until 7th Avenue & Penrose Street.
All entries will turn into the Monsanto parking lot and on through to Highway 6. For safety reasons, the Monsanto parking lot is the parade drop off area and there is parking available for those needing to pick people up from the parade.
