Grinnell Farmers Market 2025 Vendor Application

 
Vendor applications for the 2025 Grinnell Farmers Market season are now open!
 
BEFORE APPLYING, read our 2025 Rules & Regulations before completing the below applicationYou can also print a copy of the 2025 Application, including the Code of Conduct and Hold Harmless Agreement and return to the Chamber office at 833 4th Ave.
 
Please make sure you fill out all needed information. If you have any questions please contact the Chamber at farmersmarket@getintogrinnell.com or call the Chamber offices at 641-236-6555.
 
After your application has been received, chamber staff will send a follow up email providing you a checklist of any additional documentation that will be needed, such as training certificates and/or copy of insurance, etc. Information about vendor layout will be emailed to vendors no later than Wednesday, May 7th.
 

Notice of Photographic & Media Recording: When you attend the Grinnell Farmers Market or a Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce event, photo, audio, and video recording may occur. By attending this event, you consent to such recording media and your image and likeness being used in connection with the promotion, advertising, and/or marketing of the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce, the Grinnell Farmers Market and the Grinnell Community. Code of Conduct

All vendors, including any support staff and/or family, agree to follow the code of conduct. A completed copy of the code will be kept on file for the duration of the market season. Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of the vendor’s privilege to sell at the Grinnell Farmers Market during the 2025 season and may impact their ability to sell at future markets. If a vendor is terminated, no refunds will be made.

hawking, calling attention to products in a loud manner, selling products in an aggressive way, or denigrating the product of other vendors.

No music may be playing from your vehicle or other device, unless prior approval has been gained by managers or staff.: *
Vendors shall conduct business free of bias, prejudice and harassment: *
on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, immigration status, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty or status as a cover veteran.  
Vendors are encouraged to report any and all perceived incidents of discrimination, harassment, or accidents that occur at market.: *
Vendors are prohibited from retaliation against any individual who reports discrimination, harassment, or accidents or who participates in an investigation of such reports.  
Vendors acknowledge and agree that changes and updates may be made during the season and those changes will be notified to you.: *
Vendors acknowledge and agree not to represent the voice of the market, officially or unofficially, or speak on behalf of the market in any capacity.: *
2025 Indemnification & Insurance

In consideration for being permitted to utilize City of Grinnell property by Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce to engage in the Grinnell Farmers Market and related activities, I, as a the Vendor, hereby agree as follows:

INDEMNIFICATION. The Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Chamber, its officers and employees, from any and all claims and liabilities of any type or nature whatsoever, caused to any person or property arising out of the Vendor’s negligent or improper acts in its operation at the Grinnell Farmers Market and/or any events managed by the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce. The Vendor agrees to hold Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce harmless from and against all liability or costs, including attorney fees, and/or liability arising out of any claims, accidents, injuries and damages arising out of the Vendor’s negligent or improper acts.

INSURANCE. Any Vendor who shall operate with the intent to sell cottage foods or operate a food truck/trailers/mobile food unit agrees to maintain general liability insurance and/or commercial liability insurance in the amount of not less than Five Hundred Thousand dollars ($500,000) per occurrence covering the operation of the Vendor, and will name the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce as an additional insured.

PROOF OF INSURANCE. Any Vendor who shall operate with the intent to sell cottage foods as outlined in the Rules & Regulations or operate a food truck/trailer/mobile food unit, will provide the Chamber a Certificate of Insurance as evidence that the insurance described above is in force for the 2024 event year. The Vendor must provide a valid certificate of insurance with a liability limit of at least $500,000 per occurrence, prior to their participation in the Grinnell Farmers Market.

I certify that I have read this document and I fully understand its content. I am aware that this is a contract in which I release liability and agree to indemnify and promise not to sue. I sign it of my own free will.
