Join for a second screening of Kamal’s, a documentary featuring Grinnell’s very own Kamal Hammouda and Laura Fendt from the Iowa Kitchen! If you missed the feature premiere at the Strand, now is your chance to watch!

Film description: In rural Iowa, a Muslim chef and his Catholic wife fuse their cultures in the kitchen and beyond, serving dishes that blend Middle Eastern tradition with Midwestern bounty. But their greatest recipe is for belonging, as they build a community where everyone has a seat at the table.

To be followed by a moderated Q&A with Kamal Hammouda, Laura Fendt, and director Nich L. Perez. This event is made possible by the partnership of The Center for the Humanities, the Office of Community Partnerships, Planning, and Research, and the Film and Media Studies Department & Student Education Policy Committee.
