Overview
Take your spot on center stage and get ready to shine! Grinnell Triple Threats offers students in grades 3-5 and 6-8 a chance to discover and hone their musical theater talents, build confidence, and develop their love for the stage in a supportive team setting. What to Expect This class combines singing, dancing, and acting, and will help students develop skills in vocal performance, musical theater dance, stage presence, and character development. Each class will include: Drama games to break the ice between participants and help build stage presence Vocal warm-ups and group singing focusing on age-appropriate technique, projection, and confidence Movement and choreography that builds a foundation of standard dance steps for beginners, with leadership and solo opportunities for more experienced dancers Teamwork activities to emphasize that collaboration and trust are at the heart of every great performance! Performance Opportunities Students will learn popular musical theatre pieces, working with our expert instructors to prepare both the music and choreography. At the end of the class, students will present a showcase for families and friends. Who Should Attend This class is designed to be welcoming and engaging for beginners and more experienced performers alike! Instructors will emphasize a team-based approach that makes learning FUN and builds community among participants. Two groups (grades 3-5 and 6-8) will work independently during rehearsals and come together for certain games and activities.
