Overview
Join us to hear about the life and career journey of Ed Senn, Grinnell College class of 1979. This past summer, Ed completed his 18th RAGBRAI, riding 409 miles across Iowa from the Missouri River to the Mississippi River with more than 20,000 other cyclists. Ed's career included working on Presidential, Senatorial and Congressional campaigns, 10 years on Capitol Hill as the Legislative Director for Congressman Tom Tauke (R-IA) covering energy, environment and telecommunications legislation, and over 27 years at Verizon Communications as a Vice President overseeing teams lobbying on federal and state legislative matters. With 30-plus years of interviewing prospective interns and employees, Ed has advice on avoiding "rookie" mistakes during a job interview or trying to advance one's career.
