Overview
Embrace winter with cozy crafts at Diamond Lake. The park office at the Foster Center will be set up with a few options to try out.
- Woodburning: try using an electric woodburning tool to create a pattern on a small wood “cookie” to use as a coaster or ornament. There will be a variety of patterns available to trace or you can create your own. Please note: Woodburning equipment will be limited adults and kids in 5th grade and up. Younger kids are welcome to come along and make a coaster using markers or paint.
- Paper crafts: unplug and embrace snail mail. Try your hand at paper making, make cards from scrap paper, and use old calendar or magazine pages to create beautiful envelopes. Materials for all activities will be provided.
Come and go as you please, but plan to allow about an hour if you’d like to make a coaster. RSVP or registration required by day of! We have limited woodburning tools so indicate a time your group will come in. Email Amy anytime or call or text during business hours. Let Amy know how many in your group want to make a coaster.
