Plant Sale, Vendor Pop-Up, and Spring Community Event

Overview

Join for a fun event that intends to connect the community with local growers and food producers. Entertainment will include live music from the Grinnell College Music program, baby goats from Iowa Kiko Goats, live honey bees from Back Forty Honey, and a planting demonstration by Grinnell Farm to Table's Jordan Sheibel.

Vendors will include:

• FLOUR at the Farmhouse
• Golden Pear Kitchen
• Crust and Crumb
• Prairie Produce
• Van's Crafts, offering sourdough breads, jams, salsas, cookies, cinnamon rolls, freeze dried goods, and lip balms.
• Compass Plant CSA will sell fresh produce
• Olson Garden Market will have a wide variety of vegetable starts and herbs to get your garden started.

Grinnell Farm to Table Board member, Tommy Hexter, will be grilling, and local ice cream will be available for purchase. The retail store will be open and stocked with frozen meats and veggies, dairy, eggs, and more. This event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted, and any funds raised will go towards Grinnell Farm to Table's operational expenses and local food access program.

Grinnell Farm to Table is a non-profit that connects Poweshiek County area residents with local farmers and producers. Our mission is to create a healthier, more environmentally sustainable, regional food system. Our food access program allows low-income residents to receive local produce, eggs, meat, or dairy regardless of what they can pay. Grinnell Farm to Table is open for retail hours every Saturday from 1-5pm.
