Inspired? Find the Tech To Take Your Work to the Next Level
Inspired Tech connoisseur Mike McGuire has seen his 15 years of software development career morph and twist — even as recently as the last three years.
“AI [artificial intelligence> is changing everything,” he told Chamber Ambassadors. “Soon, it will be on a whole other level — my job alone is nothing like it used to be.”
In 2019, McGuire launched his business, Inspired Tech, and after a few years, shifted the mission and vision for his business: to help other businesses leverage tools and transform their business beyond their pain points.
“Our vision is ultimately to help anybody who wants to grow,” says McGuire. In fact, McGuire’s long-life curiosity is what motivates him to think outside the box and come up with “new ideas no one has thought of before.”
“Nobody needs to be a five billion dollar company to utilize tools to benefit your business — sure, there are pros and cons that make people say certain tech is not worth the investment, but at the end of the day, I want to help find what works for you.”
Inspired Tech has already cut down costs for other businesses, including a local healthcare company. “Their software costs for keeping client notes were becoming astronomical,” McGuire explained. “So we custom-built their health record software and cut down their monthly cost from about $2,000 to $200. Give it a little bit of time and that investment pays off.”
On a personal level, McGuire has used his expertise to make his work life easier, too. As someone who put off dealing with his bookkeeping, billing, and taxes, he has built a tool to help do his paperwork in less than five minutes. And this is exactly the kind of help he wants to give other businesses.
“I love getting to know businesses and find out where they would like to go, what their dream desired state is,” says McGuire. “I’d love to grab a coffee with anyone interested, and even better, set up a discovery meeting.”
McGuire’s discovery meetings are where he learns about your business, your struggles, your strengths, and potential for opportunities. Afterward, he offers solutions to start chipping away at the pain points you’re currently facing.
Some of the common problems McGuire has seen over the course of his career is time management and organization — spreadsheets across different online applications, manual data entry, and remembering exactly which piece of data lives where. “With our help, we can pull that information into one place.”
One way to do it? To let AI in a little bit, or to allow it to support the busy pieces of your job. “AI can simply be a tool to be more efficient,” McGuire says. “Ultimately, the human aspect of our work creates values within our businesses, so let AI do the work that then lets us be creative and highlight the human aspect of our work.”
