Summer Art Camp: Creature Creators: Puppetry Fabrication

Overview

Step into the role of creature designer! Inspired by the Creatures of Grinnell public art installation, this week of camp for student entering grades 5-8 focuses on the intersection of story-telling and sculpture. Students will dive into experimental puppetry and fabrication to construct large-scale, character-driven creatures. From initial concept sketches to final paint and texture, you'll develop a creature with a unique personality and story, which will be showcased in the Stewart Gallery!

• Fee: $150 (financial assistance available)
• Ages: Entering 5th-8th grade
