Prairie Burn is back for 2026 with new ride distances, the same legendary gravel, and an all-day celebration in Central Park! Whether you’re riding, running, or cheering from the park, Prairie Burn is a full-day community event for all ages. Gravel ride options for 2026- 8:00 AM: 100K Gravel Ride (Race format) NEW! 3-person Team Option 9:00 AM: 50K Gravel Ride 10:00 AM: 25K Gravel Ride- 9:30am Ride some of the best gravel and B-roads in the Midwest, then roll back into Central Park to celebrate. Fun Run: 10:00 AM: 5K or 3K Perfect for families, kids, and runners of all ages. • Family-friendly activities available throughout the day • Yoga In the Park • Storytime Art in the Park • Farmers Market Stick around after your ride or run and enjoy the Prairie Burn festival atmosphere: • Live music from 11:30 AM–2:30 PM by Ruari Brownell • Food options • Beverage garden by Old Fashioned Spirits Prairie Burn is more than a race — it’s a celebration of gravel, community, and summer in Grinnell.
