Get ready for the Prairie Burn 100, Grinnell’s annual gravel bike ride and fun run with activities for the whole family: yoga, farmers market, StoryTime Art in the Park, live music by Ruari Grinnell and band, a beverage garden by Old Fashioned Spirits and food by Grinnell College Catering and La Penca.
Prairie Burn is back for 2026 with new ride distances, the same legendary gravel, and an all-day celebration in Central Park! Whether you’re riding, running, or cheering from the park, Prairie Burn is a full-day community event for all ages. Join for yoga, the Grinnell Farmers Market, StoryTime Art in the Park, live music by Ruari Grinnell and band, a beverage garden by Old Fashioned Spirits and food by Grinnell College Catering and La Penca.
Gravel ride options for 2026:
- 8 AM: 100K Gravel Ride (Race format)
- NEW! 3-person Team Option
- 9 AM: 50K Gravel Ride 10 AM: 25K Gravel Ride
- 9:30 AM Ride some of the best gravel and B-roads in the Midwest, then roll back into Central Park to celebrate.
- Fun Run: 10 AM: 5K or 3K — Perfect for families, kids, and runners of all ages.
