Storytime Art in the Park

Overview

Grinnell College Museum of Art and Drake Community Library are offering free hands-on art and literacy activities for children and families at selected sites in Grinnell (dates, times and locations below). Each session will offer hands-on art activities, and books read and take home. On Tuesdays, Grinnell Farm to Table will offer free produce to take home.

• July 23, 3:30–5 p.m., Central Park Shelter House, 811 Park Street
• July 28, 10:30 a.m.–noon, GCMoA/Bucksbaum Center for the Arts, north side, 1108 Park St.
• July 30, 3:30–5 p.m., Central Park Shelter House, 811 Park Street

Supported by Grinnell Education Partnership, AmeriCorps, Seed Coalition, Grinnell Mutual, Grinnell Farm to Table, Greater Poweshiek County Community Foundation/Poweshiek County Alliance and Lincoln Savings Bank. In case of threatening weather, Storytime Art in the Park will be cancelled. You may text GCMoA at 641-780-5215 or call DCL at 641-236-2661 if you have questions. Grinnell College does not assume responsibility for the care and safety of children who attend these events. The College makes these programs open to the public with the understanding that for children who attend, a parent, legal guardian, or other designated caregiver remains responsible for their care and protection.
