The 2026 Homecoming Parade Route will begin downtown, heading north on Broad Street, west on 5th Avenue, south on Main Street and west on Commercial Street. A Pep Rally and Dogs for Dollars, a fundraiser for Tiger Scholarship Fund, will be held following the parade at approximately 6:00 PM in Central Park.
The annual Homecoming Parade is organized by the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Grinnell Tigers Activities Department. This celebration of our local schools serves as a great way to encourage business and non-profit organizational support, fosters community vitality, and promotes Grinnell as a great community to live, learn, work, and play.
Abstract Expressionists: The Women, curated by Ellen G. Landau, presents a fresh look at important contributions U.S. women painters working in New York, California, and Paris made to Abstract Expressionism from the early 1940s through the 1970s. The show features forty-eight outstanding examples from The Levett Collection by twenty-nine women artists, offering audiences more in-depth understanding of a singular aspect of twentieth-century American art, one whose significance has only just begun to receive proper recognition.
Abstract Expressionists: The Women is organized by the American Federation of Arts from the Christian Levett Collection and FAMM (Female Artists of the Mougins Museum), France. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Ellen G. Landau. It is generously supported by Berry Campbell Gallery, Betsy Shack Barbanell, Monique Schoen Warshaw, and Clare McKeon and the Clare McKeon Charitable Trust. Additional support has been provided by the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the Every Page Foundation. Preparation for a baby involves education on what to expect, what happens in your body, how to care for yourself and your baby after delivery, breastfeeding and so much more. Our childbirth and prenatal education class is offered and highly encouraged for parents who plan to deliver at GRMC. Accompanied live on piano by talented local musicians, this series brings the magic of musical theater to an informal, joy-filled setting. The Grinnell School of Music provides a curated songbook full of hits from classic and contemporary musicals (you are encouraged to make requests!). Whether you sing every word or just hum along, all voices are welcome. Light snacks and beverages are provided. This event is one of our drop-in programs, designed for those who may be unable to commit to regular classes but who want to be part of a musical community. The suggested participation fee is $15 per event, $50/month, or pay-what-you-can. A $50/month lets you attend all programming, and help support the Grinnell School of Music! Advance registration is recommended, but the School of Music will do their best to accommodate at the door. All ages welcome, no experience necessary! Farmers Market shoppers can expect to find a variety of goods and products with this year’s line-up of Grinnell Farmers Market full- and part-time vendors. This year’s vendors hail from 8 counties (Poweshiek, Polk, Jasper, Tama, Black Hawk, Iowa, Grundy, and Benton) and will be selling an array of high-quality, fresh produce, baked treats and pastries, eggs, plants, handmade crafts, and more.

The Grinnell Farmers Market accepts cash and token transactions — but most importantly, money from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program! On the corner of Broad St. and 4th Ave., find a staff member with a card reader to purchase SNAP EBT tokens. SNAP tokens can be used to purchase:
SNAP benefits can not be used to purchase non-food items (like crafts, clothes, or flowers), and hot food items intended for immediate consumption at the market, such as hot coffee or prepared hot foods.
The Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program will continue for the 2026 season, as well. Customers can earn DUFB when using their SNAP cards, or spend DUFB earned at Fareway and Hy-Vee for qualifying products at Market. Learn more on the DoubleUpIowa.org website.

Join UnityPoint Health - Grinnell's specially trained physical therapists for a focus on perinatal pelvic floor health. This class will cover common symptoms you may experience in pregnancy and following delivery related to your pelvic floor. A pelvic floor physical therapist will review how pelvic floor physical therapy can address common complaints related to hip and back pain in pregnancy, pelvic pain, incontinence and more! Topics include, but are not limited to, musculoskeletal driven pain in pregnancy related to hip/back/pelvic floor musculature, preparation for birth as it relates to the pelvic floor, bladder health, bowel health, pelvic pain and abdominal and hip muscle strengthening. Following the presentation, there will be a frequently asked questions session and open Q&A to address your specific questions as well as a demonstration of a few exercises you can do with baby!

Each class will include:
Students will learn popular musical theatre pieces, working with our expert instructors to prepare both the music and choreography. At the end of the class, students will present a showcase for families and friends.

Landau, presents a fresh look at important contributions U.S. women painters working in New York, California, and Paris made to Abstract Expressionism from the early 1940s through the 1970s. The show features forty-eight outstanding examples from The Levett Collection by twenty-nine women artists, offering audiences more in-depth understanding of a singular aspect of twentieth-century American art, one whose significance has only just begun to receive proper recognition.
Abstract Expressionists: The Women is organized by the American Federation of Arts from the Christian Levett Collection and FAMM (Female Artists of the Mougins Museum), France. The exhibition is curated by Dr. Ellen G. Landau. It is generously supported by Berry Campbell Gallery, Betsy Shack Barbanell, Monique Schoen Warshaw, and Clare McKeon and the Clare McKeon Charitable Trust. Additional support has been provided by the Pollock-Krasner Foundation and the Every Page Foundation. For More Information In conversation with Peter Jacobson, Biology Professor and Environmental Studies Department Chair, and Tommy Hexter ’21. Hexter will explore how Grinnell College can continue building meaningful connections between students, Iowa farmers, and local food systems through experiential education, local food procurement, and opportunities to engage directly with the land. The conversation will also explore connections between these efforts and Grinnell’s new Semester at CERA program, and how these initiatives can help students better understand Iowa’s agricultural and ecological communities.
Grinnell College alumnus Tommy Hexter’s time at Grinnell sparked a deep connection to Iowa agriculture and ultimately led him to work across the food system — as a Poweshiek Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioner, Iowa Farmers Union Policy Director, Director of Grinnell Farm to Table, and now Executive Director of the Iowa Food System Coalition.
Everyone is welcome including community members, students, faculty, and staff to foster conversations across campus and community. Light refreshments will be served. No RSVP required.
