Create personalized gifts for the holidays! Learn how to use our laser to engrave almost anything softer than metal. Over three sessions we will discuss what kind of projects work well with our laser, help you plan out your design, and help you make your project (to give as presents, or keep for yourself!). We have some basic items to engrave (wood squares, bottles, glassware, acrylic pieces, etc.) or you can bring your own items. The first session will be dedicated to helping you decide what you will make. Upon completion of this class you will be confident in your ability to use the Stew's laser for your own projects - unlock a world of creativity!

Session 1: How the laser works, what kinds of materials can be engraved or cut, suggestions for holiday projects, engrave a simple wood sign as a test project.

Session 2: Design your project, either with our materials or with something you bring yourself; setting up the laser.

Session 3: Engrave/make your project!

GAAC/The Stew reserves the right to cancel classes due to a minimum enrollment not being met. In that event, participants will be notified and will be able to choose between a refund or credit for a future class.

Sample Project Ideas:

- Engrave thin wood sheets as custom holdiay cards or gift tags instead of paper

- Engrave a personal message onto a bottle of wine or spirits

- Make acrylic ornaments with the recipient's name(s) on them

- Bring your ideas!
