Grinnell College is pleased to host Hasan Davis, J.D. for events on Jan. 20 and 21 to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Davis is an esteemed educator whose work with individuals, communities and institutions serves as an inspirational catalyst for change for the common good. He is author of two books and travels extensively inspiring audiences nationwide.
“Pages from a Hope Dealer’s Handbook”
Davis will share some of his own journey from juvenile delinquent to juris doctor as recounted in his book, “Written Off: How One Man’s Journey Through Poverty, Disability, and Delinquency Is Transforming the Juvenile Justice System.” He will share the spark that hope dealers ignited in him to serve youth and families and will encourage audience members to find their own path as hope dealers. This event is sponsored by Grinnell College’s Rosenfield Program in Public Affairs, International Relations, and Human Rights; Office of Diversity and Inclusion; Office of Community Enhancement and Engagement and Office of the Ombuds.
